Patrons flock to the ‘Q’ at South East Field Days

WITH fresh branding on display attracting plenty of public interest, Quality Wool and Livestock made a successful expedition to Lucindale for the 40th Annual South East Field Days last weekend.

A crowd of over 21,000 people passed through the turnstiles at Yakka Park, as the ‘Q’ joined 600 other exhibitors for the two-day event beginning on Friday, March 16th.

Friday turned out to be a very busy one, with the Quality marquee playing host to visitors virtually from the minute gates opened to the public at 9am.

Wool and Livestock representatives from multiple regions were on hand to greet the mix of existing and new clients who stopped by for a chat, refreshment or to take part in the Guess the Micron, Yield and VM competition.

Curious members of the public also filtered through the marquee, attracted by the sale of Quality’s increasingly-popular line of Merino wool work socks.

The combination of new flags and banners, including a large photographic timeline detailing the company’s evolution since being founded in 1991, helped create a striking visual presence and ensured patrons could easily locate the ‘Q’ marquee by its famous burgundy colour.

While hot and blustery conditions and the SA State Election on Saturday resulted in reduced numbers there was still a steady flow of traffic through site 295, with the afternoon seeing Quality Wool client Peter Hannaford of Willana Pastoral announced as the micron competition winner, taking home the first prize of a new Kincrome Socket Set for his efforts.

Initially starting as a small event in 1978 with a Friday crowd of 500 and a tractor pull as an added attraction, South East Field Days has grown into large annual event with an average crowd of 22,000.
