Bright sunny skies welcomed Eyre Peninsula junior (Under 14) cricketers for the Quality Wool Cup at Port Lincoln this month and they didn’t disappoint the local community and their supporting families and friends.

It was a different team on the victory dais this year however, with Lincoln Great Whites raising the winner’s trophy.

In its fifth year, the Quality Wool Cup Twenty/20 competition again hosted eight teams from across EP. Other teams included Far West, Eastern Eyre, Lincoln Tuna Kings, Great Flinders, Tumby Bay, LeHunte and Kimba.

The batting trophy for the competition went to Jagga Cross from Tumby Bay, while bowling trophies were shared by Camden Madden from Lincoln Great Whites and Darcy Wiseman from Lincoln Tuna Kings.

Fielding trophies were also won by Jeb Nettle from Le Hunte, Darcy Wiseman from Lincoln Tuna Kings and Zak Lovegrove from Far West.

Quality Wool is a very proud supporter of junior cricket on EP and looks forward to continuing its support of the Under 14 Cricket Cup into the future.
